7 Days Uganda Primate Safari Tour – Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trekking

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional guide who will brief you about your Uganda primate safari tour. Afterward, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Kampala for overnight and rest.

After breakfast, begin your journey westwards through Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Arrive in Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its dense rainforest and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a scenic drive through the crater lakes region before checking in for the night.

Today is dedicated to chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you’ll track the intelligent and playful chimpanzees in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk, where you may spot more primates, birds, and butterflies.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and over 600 bird species. Arrive in time for an evening game drive through the Kasenyi Plains where you can spot lions, warthogs, and Uganda kobs.

Start the day with a sunrise game drive, perfect for spotting predators while they are still active. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a haven for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species.

Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. If lucky, you’ll witness these majestic cats lounging in fig trees. Arrive at Bwindi, the best destination for gorilla trekking in Uganda.

After an early breakfast, head into the dense rainforest for your gorilla trekking Uganda safari experience. With your guide, track a family of mountain gorillas and spend one hour observing their behavior, interactions, and lifestyle. After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation or begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe depending on your flight schedule.
