3 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari After Tanzania Tour

After completing your Tanzania safari, you’ll take a flight from Kilimanjaro or Arusha to Entebbe International Airport, Uganda. Upon arrival, our driver-guide will welcome you and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your schedule, you may take a short domestic flight to Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrip (close to Bwindi) or drive through Uganda’s scenic countryside, with stops along the way.

Today is the highlight of your safari! After breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll then begin your trek into the dense forest, searching for your allocated gorilla family.

The trek may take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, you’ll spend one full hour observing, photographing, and enjoying their behavior – from playful infants to the powerful silverback.

This close encounter with gorillas is considered one of the greatest wildlife experiences in the world. After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation and optional cultural interaction with local communities.

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe/Kampala. Depending on your international flight time, you can choose to fly back from Bwindi to Entebbe or enjoy a scenic road trip. From here, you can connect to your next destination or your flight home.
